潘业忠，男，出生于台湾省高雄县，应用数学副教授。

一、学历: 台湾大学数学系学士毕业，新竹交通大学应用数学所硕士和博士学位毕业。

二、经历:

     大仁科技大学：资讯工程系讲师、副教授、系主任;校务会议委员、稽核委员、图书资讯馆秘书。

     高雄大学:应用数学系兼任副教授、博士生、硕士生口试委员。

     科技部自然司：专题研究计画主持人(2008-2018)、研究计画审核委员。

三、研究：

研究领域为离散数学与组合最佳化、图论、算法，目前从事对称群子集中包含或避开样本(pattern)子集之研究工作。2008~2010年主要研究离散数学中距离正则图相关课题，利用3-bounded性质及其所需条件，加上弱测地性及组合设计的技巧，对于此类距离正则图作有效的分类。2010年至今主要研究离散数学中组合结构之关连性，近期探讨对称群子集中包含或避开样本(pattern)子集，例如对称群子集baxter排列集合及simsun 排列集合中避开某些样本的情况，这些结果提供组合研究一个新的思考方向；基于在对称群上的一些组合性质，各种排列子集的统计量，以及一些组合结构之关连的探讨，这一部分的课题也是对称群上的热门研究。2008至今共发表12篇SCI期刊论文，12篇研讨会论文。
